Analysing the circuit breaker mechanism with motor current measurement

Motor current measurement - BLG1002A

By monitoring the motor current during a spring charge, you will be able to see the condition of the motor and the winding mechanism. This helps the user to indentify issues such as lubrication and motor inertness.

Examples of relevant parameters are charge time, end current, mean current and rush current.

The equipment

The SA10, SA5 and BTS2000A have built-in shunts that allows for automatic readings of both motor current and voltage.
